Variables to consider when individualizing the dose and duration of Jivi1
- Weight
- Severity of the hemostatic function disorder
- Site and extent/severity of the bleeding
- Desired Factor VIII (FVIII) level
- Pharmacokinetic and clinical response
On-demand treatment with Jivi1*
- Dosage necessary to achieve hemostasis depends on the type and severity of the bleeding episode1
FVIII activity should not fall below the given plasma activity level (in % of normal or IU/dL) in the corresponding period for the following hemorrhagic events:1

† Minor hemorrhage includes early hemarthrosis, minor muscle or oral bleeds.
‡ Moderate hemorrhage includes more extensive hemarthrosis, muscle bleeding or hematoma.
§ Major hemorrhage includes intracranial, intra-abdominal or intrathoracic hemorrhage; gastrointestinal bleeding; central nervous system bleeding; bleeding in the retropharyngeal or retroperitoneal spaces; or iliopsoas sheath, life or limb threatening hemorrhage.
¶ Minor surgery includes tooth extraction.
